In Mark 4:23-24, Jesus
‘If anyone shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt but shall believe that those things which he sayeth shall come to pass, assuredly he shall have whatsoever he saith’ If there is one thing that we must endeavor to change, it is the confession of the mouth. The bible says ‘Suffer not your flesh to cause your mouth to sin, neither say ye before and angel that it was an error…(Eccl. 5:6) In order words, be careful what you say. EVERYTHING IS BY CONFESSION (Rom. 4:16-18 ) Paul said ‘God who quickens the dead and call those things that be not as thou they were..(Rom. 4:16-18) God literally framed the world by His word. So our words are framing our world. The bible says ‘We understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God. The Psalmist said ‘he spoke and they were formed'. He spoke and the Power of the Holy Ghost went into operation. Psalm 33:6-7(TLB) He merely spoke, and the heavens were formed and all the galaxies of stars. 7 He made the oceans, pouring them into his vast reservoirs. Psalm 33:8-10 (TLB) 8 Let everyone in all the world—men, women, and children—fear the Lord and stand in awe of him. 9 For when he but spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command! 10 And with a breath he can scatter the plans of all the nations who oppose him, JESUS CONFESSED THE FIG TREE INTO WITHERING Remember what Jesus told the disciples before they even knew he was dead. He said ‘Our friend Lazarus sleep but I go so that I might wake him again..(Jn. 11:11). What was he doing, we was speaking the things that be not as thou they were.. Even when he said ‘The son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and he will be killed and on the third day, he will rise again..(Lk.9:22) The bible says ‘He sent His word and healed them and delivered them out of their destruction..’ (Ps. 107:20) It is the word that heals, It is the word that prospers, It is the word that promotes and favour..And God has already declared it. Our responsibility is to say what God has already said. That is why God told Joshua- This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth but meditate on it day and night that you may be careful..you will make your way prosperous and have good success. So we must be careful not to use negative confession to nullify the power of our prayer. Like I have said before, we must be careful not to plant a seed with one hand and uproot it with the other hand. GUARD YOUR HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE (Lk. 6:43-45 Read) Whatever you meditate for too long becomes your declaration. That is why Paul said in Philippians 4:8-9Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Why is that? Because what you meditate becomes your words…For out of the abundance of the heart..(the heart of meditation) the mouth speaks. THE WORD GUARDS THE HEART The quantum of the word of God in your heart determines how strong your faith and consequently, your confession will be. David had meditated the word for so much that it was very easy for him to say ‘The God that delivered me from the paws of the Lion and the bear, he will deliver me from the hands of this Phillistine.. The 10 spies were not just destroyed because they said ‘We cannot enter the land’. They were destroyed because they had declared that they will be destroyed. So be careful of what you confess. Whatever you confess you possess. Hear the bible say ‘They Limited the Holy One of Israel…(Ps. 78:38-45). Our confessions limit God. And we have been limiting God by what we say. We limit his ability to bless us. We limit his ability to favor us and we limit His ability to heal us. As we move stedily into the year 2017, a year of multiplication and Increases, let us be cautious that we do not speak any negativity..A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth but the mouth of the transgressor shall eat violence (Pr. 13:2)

THE BORN AGAIN REALITY
Jesus said to Nichodemus ‘Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God’ (Jn. 3:3). Our contaminated nature needs a recreation. That recreation is called the Born Again nature. The Spirit of man is a dead spirit. It takes the inspiration (or breathe) of the almighty to give it a new nature. There is a Spirit in man but it is the inspiration of the Almighty that gives him understanding (Job 32:8). When the inspiration of the almighty is not there, your spirit man is dead, deadened by sin and all the junks that came from unity with the devil. So when you receive Jesus Christ, you get that inspiration of the Almighty. Without that inspiration, you have no capacity to know God and the things of God. Paul said ‘What man knoweth the things of a man except the Spirit of man that dwells in him. Even so knows no man the things of God except by the Holy Spirit’ (1 Cor. 2:11). ‘The natural man cannot know the things of God’ (1 Cor. 2:14) So the starting point for a real LIFE, the God kind of Life is to have a recereated Spirit. That happens when you invite Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior. There is no better time to take that step of faith than now. The word of God says 'behold today is the day of salvation' Studies show that when you start to talk about purity and holiness, 70% of people go into their “shell”, because it makes people feel uncomfortable. Yet when we distance ourselves from purity and holiness, we are distancing ourselves from God. Purity is God’s standard, and we need to imitate this standard through our character, conduct, and conversation. Ephesians 5:1-4 says: “Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children, and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.” As children of God we are already righteous, but we must pursue and strive for purity to imitate the Father. Purity and Holiness can be defined into three categories: Purity in our Motives: Doing what the Lord says guarantees the blessing. “But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so -- not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer -- he will be blessed in what he does” (James 1:25). As you can see, the blessing comes from doing. There needs to be action, and more importantly, the right motive behind our actions. Why do you sing in the choir? Why do you clean the church? Why do you volunteer to usher? “I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds” (Jer. 17:10). God will reward us according to what we do, He sees our hearts and knows the reasons behind our actions. Purity in our Relationships: Purity also applies our one to one relationships with others. We should not be plotting against someone while still claiming them a friend. In addition, we do not want to have enemies, God loves everyone, and so should we. The moment we became believers, God calls us to leave grudges behind. For “The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance ” (2 Peter 3:9). Yet to do this, we must put purity to practice, but it does not come easily. It is not part of our natural human capacity to love, but with God’s mercy we can say “…herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men” (Acts 24:16). Purity in our Lifestyles: People have said “it doesn’t matter how you dress, your salvation is in your heart”. However, how you dress may not be a good definition of whether you are a Christian or not, but it will be a good definition of the kind of salvation you have. How we present ourselves, including the church is vital to our Christianity. God looks at our appearance and dressing, and whatever we put in will come out. Matt. 12:34 says: “…for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh”. The heart and lips are connected. Whatever we put into our heart with movies, books, and our environment will direct the course of our lives. There are two great powers on earth. One is God and His kingdom and the other is Satan and his kingdom. These powers seek the consent of our will to serve them.
Satan, the master of the kingdom of this world, has many offers and promises for our services: a delightful and easy life with much pleasure, dancing, shows, gambling, card playing, drug and alcohol parties, and other entertainment. The devil delights in helping us to fulfill all our selfish desires. But dear friends, he never promises us anything for the hereafter. He never tells us about the great payday that is coming, nor about his subjects who are all awaiting their reward of "everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matt. 25:30-46). Neither does Satan remind us that he is the origin of all sin, shame, disappointment, and sorrow, resulting in physical and spiritual death. Oh, what a cruel master! The other Master is the Lord God. Note His position: "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth" (Matt. 28:18). We may wonder what this Master has to offer in exchange for our service to Him. The Master's own words are, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Song, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). The first great promise is that we shall live forever. "But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life" (Mark 10:30). Thus we see Christ the Lord has something real, blessed, and lasting to give to those who faithfully serve Him, both now and in the life hereafter. "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him" (1 Cor. 2:9). How glorious indeed will the heavenly reward of the Lord be! How different from that of Satan! In order to receive great blessings from this all-powerful Master, we must yield ourselves fully to Him and obey His Word with all our hearts. We need to turn from sin, confess, and forsake our sinful lives. He then asks us to deny ourselves the lusts of the flesh. We need to live pure, sober, and honest lives, to visit the sick, help the poor, love everybody, and pray for all men. So now dear friend, which master will you choose? (From The Gospel Tract & Bible Society-Manitoba, Canada) 1- Complacency
2- Taking each other for Granted 3- Not paying attention 4- Not enough time together 5- Lack of Communication 6- sweeping issues under the carpet 7- Unresolved arguments 8- Conflicting values 9- The other woman 10- Negative Influence Faith Dominion Marriage+ relationship Management Seminar
By Rev. Darwin Pichette 5th Annual Faith Dominion Conference I am sure that question went through the minds of many of us. A couple were going through childless issue for so many years and they were desperate. After all the prayers they were doing God seems silent. This is a very frustrating situation especially when you believe strongly that God is able to change your situation. Finally when they got an answer from God, a bouncing baby boy, they discovered that this child was having a severe form of cancer. They have just one question:
WHY GOD? I remember me having this same question, I am a graduate, but still no job, no husband, not something that I can call my own. That time I remember loosing hope, and even insulting God for my misfortune. I was down, I was on my knees, then I remember that being on your knees is the best position to pray, so I took the last strength I had, and I prayed, I prayed till I wasn't able to talk anymore then I started to cry. God also hear when we are crying. Then, I fell peace. I am still looking for all that I have mention before but, I am more calm, because I know that no matter matter what, God will make a way. what was your resolutions or solution in time of trouble? |
